Know - Week 1: Hydration


Sweet Nectar of the Gods



Sweet Nectar of the Gods.  It's the only thing I drink.  (Unless of course I have some rum or whiskey - then it is just plain Coke.  Stay tuned for my post on alcohol).  I look down my nose at those people drinking those sugar sodas!  The obviously don't know what drinking that stuff will do to them - and, honestly, neither do I.  Which is why we are here.  Is it all about the calorie?  If so, Diet Coke (0 calories a can) whomps on Coke (155 calories a can).  But what about this story about diet soda, heart attacks?  Or this story that says diet soda makes me eat more?  Maybe there is more to this.

The Know challenge for the week is to learn about hydration.  What am I drinking, what's in it, and what should (or not) I drink?  Where does this stuff come from?  How much should I be drinking?  Remember, this blog is to share what I learn and the decisions I make based on that information. I'm not a doctor, and I am certainly not giving you any advice.  I mean, what if my research tells me to drink only beer from Two Goats Brewing? What then?  I don't suppose it will - but it could and for that reason you need to decide for yourself.  Know, Eat, Go!  More tomorrow.
